About

A barbershop on Laugavegur, since 2019.

Duckbutt opened in a room that used to sell wool. One chair, a borrowed mirror and a notebook of regulars who followed Einar from his old shop. Six years on there are four chairs, and the notebook is a lot thicker.

How it started

Einar wanted a shop where nobody rushes you out of the chair. No screens, no loud music, and a barber who remembers how you like the back. Six years later the room is bigger, but the idea has not changed.

How we work

01

We take our time

Every booking gets the full slot. If a cut needs ten more minutes, it gets them.

02

We tell you the truth

If a style will not suit your hair or your mornings, we say so before we start.

03

We keep it simple

Good tools, a clean room and prices on the wall. No upselling at the till.
